Email limits are shared by all teams in an organization. Your email provider bills for delivery separately.
Frequently asked questions
Do I pay for contacts?
No. Contacts are unlimited on every plan, including Free, and so are team members. Your price depends only on how many emails you send and how many teams you run.
What counts as an email?
Every broadcast, sequence and transactional email sent by any team in your organization counts as one email per recipient. The count resets each month.
Do I still pay my email provider?
Yes. You bring your own Amazon SES, SMTP, Postmark, Resend, SendGrid or Mailgun account and pay its rates directly. Amazon SES costs about $40 for 400,000 emails. SendLit never adds a per-email charge on top.
What happens if I reach my monthly limit?
Nothing is lost, and we never surprise you with an overage bill. New sends pause with a prompt to upgrade until your allowance resets next month, and a broadcast that would go over the limit won't start. Upgrade at any time and sending resumes right away.
Can I remove the "Sent with SendLit" footer?
Free and Starter include a small "Sent with SendLit" footer on marketing emails. Pro and Business remove it, and so does self-hosting.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, from Organizations → Plan. Upgrades, including monthly to yearly, take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect on your next billing date. If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, and then the organization moves to Free. Your data is never deleted.
How do payments and refunds work?
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which takes care of your card, taxes and invoices; we never see your full card number. Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly. Payments already made are not refunded unless the law requires it.
